Reflecting on What's Working and What's Not with BrandRaise
What's actually happening when you're building a service-based business

When I wrote weekly for Witt and Company subscribers, one of my favorite newsletters were these monthly reflection pieces. They also had the highest open rates, so I'm guessing they resonated with my audience. I want to test the waters here, too. Maybe not monthly, but at least once a quarter? We’ll see how it goes.
As I was noodling on what to write for this week, I went down the thought process of trying to understand why I love reflecting on business so much - and reading from other business owners about their own observations.
Here’s what I came up with: There's something about looking at what's actually happening (not just what was planned) that feels honest and useful. I love reading or hearing about what’s top-of-mind for a business owner because it helps me understand how their perceive their business. I always walk away with at least one nugget of information that’s useful.
Since BrandRaise is what's taking up most of my headspace these days, I figured I'd pull back the curtain a bit and share what's going on in the hopes that maybe some of this will resonate with you, or provide an idea or two that you can take and put into practice in your own work.
