Over the last year and a half, I’ve gotten emails from people wanting to work together on brand strategy and design. Each time, I felt it in my gut that it wasn’t the right time to say yes. I already felt strapped for time and knew I wouldn’t be able to give someone the attention they deserve.

Then recently, I got another introduction via email.

This time, there was no internal pushback. No tightness in my chest. Just... excitement. And that little voice in my head asking:

What if I started taking on service-based brand clients again?

That question surprised me. But the more I sat with it, the more I realized: I’m in a different season now than I was in April 2024 when I stopped accepting new clients. My capacity has shifted. My needs have shifted. And because I’d built certain things into my business over the years - some intentionally, some without realizing it - I actually had the infrastructure in place to make this pivot.

Here’s what made it possible.
