Angela Divine (yes, that's her real name) started working with brands and small business owners in 2018. As a brand photographer, she created images to enhance business websites and social media accounts. But she noticed that many of her clients didn’t have a plan for how to use the photos, so they collected digital dust on their hard drives. This was understandable. Most of her clients just had too much on their plates.
They needed someone to help with their digital assets' strategy, messaging, and implementation. So she founded The Divine Group in 2020, a full-service branding and marketing agency that grows purpose-driven brands’ online presence by creating content that pairs captivating visuals with authentic messaging. They specialize in social media management, brand building, website design and content creation.
When not in the office, Angela loves spending time in nature with her husband, dog, and tiny human. They love camping on the North Shore, hiking and hammocking.
👏 A few Hell Yes takeaways
Don’t worry about how often you’re posting but rather, view social media from lens of viewing your account as a legacy and creating it with intention
When she stopped using social media as a conduit for comparison, it became a lot more fun and enjoyable. I.e., following account that make her laugh, following brands that are inspiring and doing great things
If you’re managing social for your own business, pick a platform that you somewhat enjoy
Don’t write off a platform just because of what you hear; test it out for yourself and your own business because it may be different for you
Shift your perspective about social in that it’s a long game of relationship building
You don’t have to force yourself to do social media - you can always hire it out
