When is it Time to Walk Away?
Finding peace in the difficult decision to leave something you once loved

It's been two years since I made the decision to close Witt and Company (a brand studio I founded in 2017), and the conversations that I've been having the last few weeks with business friends has had me reflecting on that time quite a bit.
Last week, I was catching up with a business friend and she shared that she is in a very similar position right now - about to give birth, extremely overwhelmed and ready to throw in the towel.
And then on Tuesday, two separate conversations echoed a similar sentiment - how do you know if it's time to move on?
As I was chatting with these women, I found myself reflecting on the email that I sent to my subscribers, announcing the close of my business. Inside that email, I talked about capacity and identity and knowing when it's time for a change. All the things that have come up in these conversations over the last few weeks.
That's why I want to share what I wrote two years ago with you again today. Just in case you're in the midst of facing a big (or small) decision and wanting some insight from another business owner who was stuck in the gray of having to make the difficult choice to walk away from something they once loved.
